The AXS Exotic comes equipped with a versatile DMT Designed preamp and pickup system, which allows you to connect directly to amplifiers, PA systems, and DI outputs in order to amplify its natural tones. Thanks to this, you no longer need to mic up your guitar's sound hole, meaning you are able to deliver a larger amount of stage presence. No longer be stuck in the same spot as you play. Onboard sits a 3-band EQ that gives you tonal shaping capabilities. Optimize your perfect tone before it even reaches the PA.
Sculpted for perfection
Constructed with mahogany back and sides and topped with koa, this model produces a well-rounded tone with a distinct warmth and dynamic quality, a quality that can't be found in other tonewoods. With a detail emphasis on the mid-range, its mahogany creates a punchy tone whilst retaining clear high. When combined, these two materials help to bring out a tight and bright sound, perfect for producing a full bodied tone with plenty of clarity.
The guitar’s neck has been carefully crafted into a "C" profile. Thanks to this, you are provided with maximum comfort while you perform as your hand fully cups the neck, allowing you to smoothly glide it down the sleek mahogany material. The neck is then topped with a rosewood fretboard. This also allows for hours of comfortable playing as the wood feels smooth under your fingers. On the fretboard sit twenty frets, which ensures that your slides feel natural. These also provide you with the perfect base for bending notes.
