Lightweight Body

The American Standard Telecaster is a timeless classic, and features an alder body, delivering a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity and body. As well as tone, alder also offers a lightweight guitar that can be played all night long. Fender has used alder as their tonewood of choice since the 1950s, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues styles. Players can benefit from a comfortable performance with its elegant round edges and cutaway design, offering easier access to the higher frets.

C-Shaped Neck Profile for Optimum Comfort

Every guitarist knows that a comfortable neck profile is important when playing any guitar, that's why the American Standard Telecaster is equipped with a popular C-Shaped neck profile. This particular type of neck profile leaves a small pocket of space between the palm of the players hand and the neck of the bass guitar, allowing more versatility along the maple fingerboard. It also provides a comfortable playing style enabling you to play for longer.

Custom Shop Pickups

Like all guitars from Fender, this iconic model offers a high quality instrument with a professional quality sound. The American Standard Telecaster features a custom shop vintage-style Tele pickup on the neck, and a custom shop "Twisted" single-coil Tele pickup on the bridge. The vintage pickup features a formvar-coated magnet wire adds brightness and glassiness, whilst the 'twisted' pickup features an enamel-coated magnet wire for a warm vintage-style tone. Equipped with flush-mounted polepieces, each pickup produces an even string response. The use of Alnico 5 magnets also adds more focus and enhanced dynamics to the overall mix. Players can easily achieve the perfect tone with the volume and tone controls, along with a 3-way position blade for pickup selection.

6-Saddle Bridge

The Fender American Standard Telecaster features five-screw mounted brass bridge plate for sonic stability, loaded with improved bent steel saddles with elongated string slots, for increased resonance and sustain.
