Constructed from a 5pc Wenge/Bubinga neck the SR1205 Premium offers a lightning quick playability whilst the KTS titanium rods within the neck provide additional strength and support to ensure a strong and secure construction. The smooth and natural finish neck is paired with a Rosewood fingerboard. The Rosewood fingerboard includes Ibanez’s Premium fret edge treatment which means the edges of the frets are slightly rounded to provide improved comfort and playability.
The Ibanez SR1205 incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the Mono-Rail IV bridge and passes through the body.
Loaded with an on board 3-band active EQ system the Ibanez SR1205 can be fine-tuned and tweaked to output a range of different tone styles before even reaching an amplifier. Paired with Nordstrand “Big Single” pickups and a switchable middle frequency switch the Ibanez SR1205 is perfect for anything from hard rock to smooth jazz genres.
The Ibanez Premium series combines precision, performance and playability to create a range of powerful and versatile bass guitars. Mixing high-tech manufacturing with old-world Japanese craftsmanship, the Premium series is innovative in design and construction. The range is known for high performing fast necks, iconic pickup pairing and advanced electronics and hardware.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez guitars and basses have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. For decades, Ibanez designers and luthiers have been the embodiment of this ideology, pushing their skills to the edge of imagination, consistently creating some of the most versatile and unique instruments ever. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980’s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
