The compression driver is ubiquitous, but the CHR12M provides a new approach. With a coaxial design, you not only get clear, airy high-end, but you get comfortable, warm mid-range reproduction too. This allows your performers to hear every detail of their performance, and the engineer to get the most out of their mix.

Thanks to this thoughtful design, the CHR12M provides a durable, scratch-resistant body that is extremely road-worthy, or can easily settle into one position for the long-haul, while ensuring that it will stay unscathed no matter what's thrown at it.

DSP Compatibility

Yamaha's cutting-edge DSP technology can also be harnessed by the CHR Series. Using one of Yamaha's power amplifiers means that you can apply their DSP and speaker tuning to the CHR speakers with ease. But you don't have to use Yamaha's power amplifiers, as long as the speaker and system are compatible, the CHR Series will accept any dedicated speaker processor tuning settings.
