Key Features
The Gibson Les Paul Traditional electric guitar echoes the specs of guitars that rocked the world through the 1980s and '90s. The unchambered back gives a thick, meaty tone and superb sustain, while the rounded late-'50s neck is one of the most popular Les Paul profiles. The Heritage Cherry Sunburst finish looks great in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer.

The Les Paul Traditional starts with the same combination that helped make these guitars legendary when they first arrived six decades ago. The carved solid Grade-AA Figured Maple top gives bite and articulation while the solid Mahogany back offers superb warmth and depth and comes without weight relief for greater sustain.
The neck of the guitar is made from quarter-sawn, Grade-A Mahogany, glued-in and carved to the comfortably-rounded late-'50s profile. The bound Grade-A Rosewood fingerboard has 22 medium-jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays, topped off with traditional cream binding.
The pair of Gibson '57 Classic™ pickups give vintage tone with a contemporary edge, and are mounted with traditional chrome covers. Made in the image of the hallowed PAF humbucker of the late 1950s with Alnico II magnets, the neck position features a '57 Classic for plenty of warmth and clarity while the bridge position sports a '57 Classic Plus with slightly over-wound coils for juicy crunch and wailing lead tones. Both are wax-potted to avoid microphone squeal at high volume levels, and routed through Orange Drop tone capacitors for a smooth, rich high-end roll off.
