Paul Stanley is an American musician, singer and songwriter, primarily known for being the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of rock band Kiss. Having recently returned to Ibanez guitars, he has produced a signature model built to last on the road and ready to tour. The Ibanez PS120SP-SSP electric guitar provides a premium playing experience based on the Iceman body shape. This is a guitar made to stand out from the crowd and offer a thoroughly solid and reliable performance that sounds as good as it looks.
The PS120SP-SSP body is built from a mahogany base with a maple top and offers a solid, authoritative tone. The maple top adds sparkle and overtones giving this guitar a deep range of tonal variety. The body shape, based on the Ibanez Iceman, gives the PS120SP-SSP a distinct look that is surprisingly comfortable to play both when stood up on stage or sat down.
The PS120SP-SSP features a 3 piece maple neck which is attached to the body with an effortlessly comfortable set-neck design. An ebony fingerboard enables a tight low end and quick response. The flat radius fingerboard enables easy lead guitar playing and the medium frets offer a liquid-smooth feel.
The PS120SP-SSP includes a Full Tune III bridge and Quick Change III tailpiece with an added design feature from Paul. This offers excellent tuning stability and a quick setup when you need to make alterations in a hurry.
The PS120SP-SSP comes equipped with two Seymour Duncan pickups. The Seymour Duncan 59 model in the neck position has a sweet sustain, full-sounding chords, and a clear and bright attack. The Custom 5 in the bridge position has a nice balance of bass and treble, full tone, and a partially scooped mid-range. These pickups ensure that the guitar has a versatile range of tones to play with, whether you like to perform Kiss songs or simply play rock and blues.
