A recreation of a unique Dave Mustaine guitar. The Dean V Dave Mustaine StradiVMNT guitar is inspired by the Dean one-off special that Dave once played. It was in early 2014 for his "Symphony Interrupted" performance with the San Diego Symphony Orchestra at Copley Symphony Hall, California. This commemorative guitar is constructed with a mahogany body and is topped with flame maple, enhancing both the tone and appearance. The 'F' holes were designed to create a more classical guitar whilst till retaining Mustaine's metal roots.

The mahogany neck provides players with durability and the ebony fingerboard adds clarity to the tone. This Dave Mustaine is loaded with a pair of Seymour Duncan Live Wire pickups that were voiced especially for the Symphony of Destruction. Complete with a Vintage Sunburst finish, and delivered with a Dean case, this guitar provides the ultimate Dave Mustaine experience.

Seymour Duncan Live Wire Pickups

Loaded with two Seymour Duncan Livewire humbuckers the V Dave Mustaine produces a super high output tone due to the built in pre-amp, while retaining the organic sound qualities associated with Seymour Duncan pickups. Perfect for use with high gain tones the Livewire humbuckers are designed to match the resonant frequency of the classic Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB and SH-2N pickups.

Custom Dave Mustaine D-Profile Neck

With a set-in Mahogany neck sculpted to Dave Mustaine's unique specification the StradiVMNT maintains the resonance and durability of thicker D shaped necks but with a slightly thinner profile that allows a smoother playability and easy access to the higher range.

String Thru Construction

The V Dave Mustaine incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge and passes through the body.

About Dave Mustaine

Born in 1961, Dave Mustaine is an American guitarist who was the original lead guitarist for heavy metal titans Metallica. After leaving Metallica, Dave Mustaine formed the band Megadeth and has since released 14 studio albums with hit songs such as "Symphony of Destruction", "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and "Trust". In 2006 Dave received an endorsement from Dean Guitars and has since released a series of signature models with custom specifications and unique finishes.
