Paul Stanley is an American musician, singer and songwriter, primarily known for being the rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist of rock band Kiss. Having recently returned to Ibanez guitars, he has produced a signature model built to stand out from the crowd. The Ibanez PS40 electric guitar provides a comfortable playing experience based on the Iceman body shape. This is guitar ready to gig and has many features for creating a rock and roll sound.
The Ibanez PS40 Paul Stanley body is built from a poplar base offering a solid tone. The body shape, based on the Ibanez Iceman, gives the PS40 a distinctive look that is surprisingly comfortable to play both when stood up on stage or sat down.
The PS40 features a maple neck which is attached to the body with an effortlessly comfortable bolt-on design with an easy access neck joint. A rosewood fretboard provides a warm tone and the flat radius enables easy lead guitar playing.
The PS40 includes a Full Tune III bridge and tailpiece. Being a fixed bridge design, this provides a stable and reliable setup for regular practising. The bridge also features Paul's unique tailpiece flourish adding to the rock 'n roll vibe of this guitar.
The PS40 comes equipped with two passive ceramic Infinity R humbuckers designed to give solid rock tones. Humbuckers are designed to cancel out extraneous noise so you can be sure that, when playing through cranked amplifiers, the guitar will remain free from hum and buzz.
Over the past 30 years, Ibanez Guitars have always been at the forefront of developing the right tools for electric guitar players pushing the boundaries of music. Although Ibanez guitars have been made since 1908, it wasn't until the late 1980s that they began to form an identity for themselves when artists such as Steve Vai and Frank Zappa began using their instruments. Now with a huge artist clientele across the globe, Ibanez are a leading manufacturer of electric guitars and basses and a first choice for many dedicated musicians.
