The Abyss Bass Overdrive is the perfect tool for bassists who love their tone, but want to give it some extra layers of sonic depth. This pedal is designed to add a full-body punch to the bass while leaving the original tone untouched. The Abyss uses bi-amp technology with two discrete circuits to add the right amount of richness without removing your unique colour. While one path keeps the bass’ original dynamics and colour, the other adds the overdriven sound with fullness and punch. The two paths are then brought together to create a more powerful, fuller, and richer tone.

Excellent Tonal Shaping Capabilities

KHDK’s Abyss Pedal is equipped with a selection of powerful controls, providing players with full control over the pedal's sound. The dirty and clean controls are perfect for dialling in your desired sound, with the dirty control adjusting the level of distortion while the clean control adjusts the volume level of the original signal. While the gain control affects the level of compression and sustain the pedal offers, the treble control provides a passive, natural sounding low-pass filter, which can be used to give the tone a mellow and warm sound, or a raw and aggressive character.

LO/HI toggle Switch

In addition to its four control knobs, the Abyss Overdrive also includes a LO/HI toggle switch which is directly tied to the gain circuit to expand the pedal’s tonal capabilities. Switching to the LO setting will deliver a warm, tube-like boost, design to subtly add a crunchy overdrive ideal for rhythm playing. Switching to the HI setting adds more saturation, sustain, low-end, and compression to the bass’ tone, perfect for powerful rhythm sections and soloing.

Its true bypass design retains your original signal when the pedal is switched off, ensuring your tone is never interrupted during a performance.
