A basswood body gives the Squier Vintage Modified Stratocaster a lightweight feel and a versatile tonal range with a balanced frequency response. The 9.5'' radius fingerboard is flatter than vintage Stratocasters (around 7'') and gives a more modern feel with easier string bends.
