The MKX Alto Saxophone boasts premium design features that saxophonists have come to expect from Keilwerth. The body of the MKX is made from unique German brass alloy which produces the bright tone that Keilwerth saxophones are renowned for. The Keilwerth MKX Alto Saxophone is perfect for jazz musicians that need a harder tone than standard saxophones. The luxurious mother of pearl key buttons are not only aesthetically pleasing but also make the instrument comfier to hold. Under the keys are premium leather Pisoni pads with metal resonators. These pads ensure a tight seal around the straight tone holes, and contribute to the vintage sound of the instrument. The Keilwerth MKX is finished off with laser engraving on the bell and neck for a detailed and precise look.

The MKX series marks the latest development of saxophones by Julius Keilwerth. The MKX offers tonal characteristics of the popular SX90R model. MKX is named after artists who inspired the development of this model, 'MK' stands for Markneukirchen - the historic town where Julius Keilwerth started in 1925. 'X' represents the artists who influenced the series' success.
