The classic snare wood. Maple snares have been a staple of drumming for decades. The naturally warm, well-rounded tone of maple is ideal for creating a snare drum with body and character. The Masters Maple Complete snare's 6-ply construction takes that one step further, using Pearl's Even-Ply manufacturing methods for a perfectly balanced snare tone, with a smooth high end. Its shallower thickness allows the shell to vibrate more freely, emphasising and projecting that chunky maple low end we know and love. Traditional wood, with a modern design.
Hardware that enhances
Let that maple tone shine. When creating a top notch snare drum like the Masters Maple Complete, Pearl never leaves anything to chance. When it comes to hardware, every element has been chosen with one aim in mind - preserving and enhancing that luscious maple tone.
The SuperHoop II's triple-flanged design allows the Remo drumhead to vibrate as freely as possible, while also providing a great stick surface for rimshots and cross-sticks. But Pearl chose the thicker, 2.3mm variety which subtly dampens ringy overtones from the head to focus in on the pure maple magic beneath.
Likewise, the CL bridge lugs reduce physical contact with the shell itself, minimizing any restriction to its movement and maximising its beefy, full-bodied sound. The classic SR-017 snare strainer is simplicity itself, providing a smooth, no-nonsense action and world class control over your snare wire sensitivity.
