The shell is constructed from a carefully balanced 2-ply North American birch and 2-ply North American maple formula. Tom fills with the Elite rack toms feel incredibly articulate, and tuning becomes a whole lot easier with the 3mm undersized shells. This allows the drumheads to sit flatter over the bearing edge, improving their tone and sustain. The low-profile ISO mounting system further enhances this, providing a clear tone with no unwanted sounds from shell contact. Each Elite rack tom is fitted with stylish, deep chrome low-mass Elite lugs for maximum shell resonance, and 2.3mm triple flanged hoops for a more controlled sound and less undesirable overtones.

The 4-ply, 4.8mm construction features an equal measure of North American birch and North American Maple. These shells also include a traditional 1’’ beech support ring to enhance their durability and sound quality.
