Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers
Superb articulation and clarity are the names of the game with these specially designed Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers. They use alnico V magnets to achieve high output while maintaining that classic, clear tone - perfect for both blues and metal styles. The neck pickup is warm and full, but still crisp when you dial in some distortion. The bridge pickup is tight and snappy, with rounder bass response that beefs up the low end.
The dyna-MIX10 switching system takes the AZ42P1's custom humbuckers to a greater level of versatility. With 10 different combinations available via four pots (master volume, master tone and two pickup specific controls), you'll always find the right sound for your musical needs. You can also switch between humbucker and single-coil modes with ease using the Alter Switch, adding even more tonal options to your arsenal.
Ibanez's AZ series
The AZ42P1 is part of the highly acclaimed AZ series, known for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Each guitar in this series is designed with the modern player in mind, combining classic features with cutting-edge technology. From its ergonomic body contours to its unique switching system and high-quality components, the AZ42P1 is a prime example of Ibanez's dedication to creating instruments that inspire.
Roasted maple neck
One of the standout features of the AZ42P1 is its Oval C-shaped roasted maple neck. This type of wood is known for its stability, durability, and resistance to temperature changes and humidity. These qualities make it an ideal choice for a guitar neck, ensuring consistent performance and playability no matter where or how long you play. Additionally, the satin finish on the neck allows for a smooth and quick playing experience, while the luminescent side dots provide easy navigation on dimly lit stages.
Gotoh hardware
The AZ42P1 is equipped with top-of-the-line Gotoh components, known for their reliability and high performance. The MG-T locking machine heads ensure accurate and stable tuning, while the T1572S tremolo offers quick response and smooth operation. Together, these components provide an exceptional playing experience and allow you to push your guitar to its limits without worrying about tuning or intonation issues.
