The ZEN-Core Sound Engine
The ZEN-Core sound engine is the technological heart of the GM-800, fuelling its incredible sonic versatility with over 1200 sounds. Derived from Roland's flagship synthesisers, it enables the GM-800 to generate a vast spectrum of sounds. The ZEN-Core sound engine doesn't just replicate acoustic instruments and classic synths with astounding realism, it also provides the capability to invent entirely new, previously unheard sounds. This level of sound generation and manipulation is a testament to the innovation and sophistication of the ZEN-Core technology, making the GM-800 truly next-generation in its capabilities.
Four Tones plus Rhythm
The GM-800 includes four Tone sections along with a Rhythm section that is packed with acoustic and electronic percussion sounds. Easily select a section using the designated buttons on the panel, and then dive into a vast range of synthesiser parameters, pitch configurations, alternate tunings, and string assignments to meticulously craft your desired sounds.
Intuitive Scene Workflow
The ZEN-Core workflow revolves around Scenes, which can be seen as comprehensive sound patches. Each Scene encompasses various elements such as tone selection, parameter adjustments, sensitivity settings, effects, and more. With the powerful DSP, you can seamlessly transition between Scenes while retaining the current sound. There are 150 user-configurable Scenes, including 100 pre-loaded professional sounds ready for immediate play.
Part of the BOSS / Roland legacy
For almost fifty years, BOSS and its parent company Roland have been at the forefront of guitar synthesiser innovation. It all started back in 1977 with the groundbreaking GR-500 system. Now, with the GM-800, they're continuing a commitment to this field, giving guitar and bass players powerful tools and access to sounds that were previously only found in keyboard-based instruments. Building upon the legacy of the iconic Roland GR products, the GM-800 combines the latest advancements in pitch and string tracking with a versatile and cutting-edge sound engine.
