Mahogany Body

Mahogany as a body tonewood creates a warm and rich tone with excellent depth. It also offers durability and a tone which will mature over the years, for a long lasting investment. Mahogany has distinct tonal characteristics, for a full and deep sound with plenty of bite. The resonant tone makes it an ideal companion for punchy rock music, like Schenker's own style.

Mahogany Neck Paired With Jatoba Fingerboard

The Dean Michael Schenker guitar's neck is made from mahogany, which offers a rich and resonant sound with plenty of warmth. It also has a punchy mid-range emphasis, and the jatoba fingerboard brings an earthy tone, as well as offering added amounts of projection. The jatoba fingerboard also adds bright attack to the mahogany's deeper, darker overtone content.

Iconic Design

Schenker himself is rarely seen without his iconic black and white V-shape guitar, and it is also prominent on multiple MSG album covers. The MS Festival Guitar is finished in red, white and black for a bold alternative to the classic black and white.

About Michael Schenker

Born in 1955, Michael Schenker is a German guitarist famous for his lead playing with rock giants UFO, MSG and Scorpions. Schenker is an iconic rock guitarist who has released many studio and live albums over the years, both with bands and his solo project. In 2007 Michael Schenker received an endorsement from Dean guitars and has since released a series of signature guitars in a range of styles and custom specifications, including this Festival Guitar.
