With a top crafted from rosewood, zebra wood, paduk, bird's eye maple, koa, and flame maple, the Vista Mustang produces a rich, bright, crisp attack with clear overtone content and a low to mid predominance. Its beautiful mixture of timber also provides a stunning appearance and delivers an incredibly full tone and pristine clarity. The Vista Mustang's mixed up top is accompanied by rosewood back and sides which deliver a bright, rich, deep warm bass with a hint of sizzling-sparkle. The Luna Vista Mustang can handle a range of playing styles and techniques with ease, and each individual material offers its own unique tonal character that creates a full, rich, and resonant sound.

Mahogany Neck & Ebony Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the Vista Mustang's neck provides players with a rich, warm, and resonant sound and great durability. Mahogany is commonly used craft guitar necks, as the wood responds greatly to numerous playing techniques with ease. To provide comfort, the Vista Mustang features a C shaped neck profile, which offers players a comfortable and secure grip, reducing the likeliness of a cramping hand. The neck is topped with an ebony fingerboard that delivers a bright attack, great sustain, and excellent durability. Its ebony fingerboard is sprinkled with mother of pearl moon phase inlays for added beauty and to project Luna's passion for nature and enchantingly creative designs.

Grand Concert Cutaway

The Vista Mustang features a grand concert cutaway body which provides a comfortable playing experience and delivers great clarity and balance for its smaller size. Its comfortable shape makes it ideal for the studio as well as stage performance, and will fit cleanly into a live mix with other instruments. The Vista Mustang is better-suited to fingerpicking styles of play, however it can accommodate medium-strength picking just as well. The Vista Mustang's body also features a venetian cutaway design, which is renowned for its sleek, smooth lines that offer easy access to upper frets, providing full freedom of the fingerboard for more technical styles of play.

On-Board Fishman Presys+

The Luna Vista Mustang is ideal for the gigging guitarist due to it being equipped with a Fishman Presys+ preamp, which offers basic sound tweaking for live and rehearsal environments. Its built-in preamp features rotary controls for volume, bass, middle, treble, notch, brilliance, with added buttons for phase and tuning. Located next to the volume button is a bright, easy-readable, LED screen that enables players to tune up or down within the darkest of venues with ease.

Luna History

Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars.

Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles. Yvonne moved on to created Luna guitars, a line of guitars made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent.

Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour, she then applied the same techniques as she did with her award winning stained glass work to her new line of guitars. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver. Yvonne's design expertise has led so many men to respond to Luna's well-crafted, spirit-engaging instruments that the company now creates guitars for both female and male musicians of all ages.
