The Martin guitar features a classic sitka spruce top to offer a broad dynamic range which suits most playing styles, a reason why its favoured by most musicians. The addition of HPL back and sides create an incredibly pure, bold tone with plenty of projection and resonance for delivering massive sounds. HPL (high pressure laminates) is an engineered material designed to be extremely durable, offering incredible resistance to humidity and allowing the guitar’s tone to be preserved for longer. A custom blue multi-ring rosette and an etched division sign on the guitar’s top provides Ed Sheeran’s unique look.
The combination of a birch neck and a richlite fingerboard creates an incredibly comfortable feel, offering a smooth playing experience for quick easy position changes. The rust birch laminated tonewood provides the guitar with incredibly bright characteristics, adding plenty of sparkle to the high end while keeping the lows firm. Richlite is an incredibly durable and hard wearing material made from resin-infused paper, delivering a smooth feel which will last longer than most woods. Enclosed gear tuners enhance the Martin Signature Guitar’s string resonance and tuning stability, while the black corian nut improves string sustain.
To make the guitar worthy for the stage, and allow Ed Sheeran to create his incredible music, the Divide Signature Guitar features Fishman Sonicore electronics producing incredibly crisp notes. The saddle mounted pickup captures the natural tones of the guitar, letting you produce organic sounds on stage and in the studio. The Fishman features a soundhole mounted preamp with rotary controls for volume and tone, allowing you the perfect control over your sound on stage.
Please note: Martin do not ship their guitars with the strap button installed on the bottom of the guitar. They do this to avoid any impact cracks that may occur during shipping. You can find your strap button inside the case compartment.
