Key Features
Capturing the vintage rock 'n' roll sound from the '60s in a single-ended class A machine. The Supro Blues King 12 takes you from crystalline cleans to a saturated and singing sustain, courtesy of the FET driven fat boost. Inspired by the mid-'60s but pushing the designs of that period, with the further gain mode, this amp can reach crazy drive levels - taking you to almost fuzz drenched territories.
Supro has designed this from the ground up, giving you a specially designed speaker that was worked on with Eminence and voiced in the era of the old electromagnetic design. They also built a custom spring reverb that is never overpowering, giving depth and space to each note.

Glassy, warm, and articulate. The Supro Blues King 12 elicits a sweetness with huge, touch responsive dynamics. The FET based boost channel adds depth and extension to the bass - particularly pretty if you push the clean channel a touch. At full volume with the gain switch engaged, the harmonics really start to bloom and then sweetly compress.
It's this gain channel that really mixes things up. With a fuzzy, dynamic, responsive, warm, and woolly quality. At its core, it's how the Blues King saturates and sputters that gives it this remarkable, vintage tone. Then spilling beyond that mould and never losing its soul, the Blues King starts to evolve. When pushed, it starts to snarl and spit which is a gratifying experience to have, giving you a rich, touch sensitive overdrive that gently cascades into fuzz.
Inspired by the classics, Supro pays homage to its past. They've designed their own custom BK12 speaker, based on classic field coils of the day. It's housed in a mid-'50s Comet cabinet - Supro are experimenting with a classic sound in a modern loudspeaker.
Supro don't opt for just any spring reverb. It becomes a testament to build quality that Supro custom-made their analogue spring reverb and as a result, it sounds great. The spring reverb adds a beautiful sense of space when used subtly - there is no boom or interference with the tone. Furthering its flexibility is the buffered FX loop. This allows you to shape and evolve a sound, tailored for you.
It's the soul of mid-century Chicago amps that helped influence the British invasion of the '60s. The Supro brand is synonymous with that tone, inspiring artists like Albert Lee, Jimmy Page, Pete Townshend, and Peter Green - these amps earned their reputation and pushed the sound of the 'Electric Era'. Being designed (like all Supro amps) from the ground up, Supro were able to push what is normally expected from a classic.
The master volume can be used to push the power section of the amp. Alongside the switching options, the Blues King isn't a one-trick pony, with plenty of ways to change how the amp breaks up, this is an amp that will never hold you back.
