All-Mahogany Construction

The Tanglewood TW3E features a body crafted entirely from mahogany, delivering a rich, resonant warmth with a punchy, woody characteristic. Its mahogany top offers a natural compression, creating strong fundamentals with a clear and direct focus. Paired with mahogany back and sides, the TW3E delivers a meaty mid-range, producing punchy, dark tones with a depth and complexity to please most playing styles. In addition, its mahogany construction is well-suited to a wide range of genres and playing styles, but is particularly well-suited to old school blues, and slide techniques.

Mahogany Neck & Techwood Fingerboard

Constructed from mahogany, the TW3E's neck delivers added warmth and resonance. Its mahogany neck also responds greatly to numerous genres and techniques with equal ease, making it ideal for slide, and more alternative playing styles. Its neck is topped with a techwood fingerboard that adds a sonically pleasing warmth to the overall sound with a hint of bright sparkle. Additionally, the fingerboard offers a smooth and energetic playing experience.

Parlour Body

The TW3E Winterleaf has a distinctive parlour body, offering a comfortable playing experience due to its compact size. Slim, sleek, with a nipped-in waist, the Winterleaf's parlour body is extremely comfortable to play for guitarists of any size. Although its sweetly-smaller size provides comfort, players will be surprised by its unexpectedly loud acoustic voice. Additionally, the TW3E is able to accommodate numerous playing styles and genres with ease. In particular, the Winterleaf is well-suited to old-school blues, folk, and slide music.

Custom B-Band Preamp - Designed For Tanglewood

The Tanglewood TW3E features a B-Band M-450T preamp, that has been custom made, specifically for Tanglewood guitars. The preamp offers players slider switches for bass, middle, treble, and presence, enabling players to tweak their sound for live and rehearsal environments. Furthermore, the B-Band also features a rotary control for volume with the added convenience of a built-in chromatic tuner. Its built-in chromatic tuner offers precise tuning on the go, and is ideal for dark venues due to its easy read LED screen.
