DMT Design Split Coil Pickup

Incorporating a powerful DMT Design split coil pickup in the middle position the Custom Zone bass provides a deep and defined tone with plenty of pop, perfect for a range of playing styles. Unlike humbucking and J pickups split coils work by having two halves of a single coil pickup next to each other, this allows them to deliver a balanced tone with plenty of clarity and precision.

Lightweight Basswood Body

The Dean Custom Zone bass is crafted with a basswood body, which produces fat, yet balanced tones with excellent dynamics and tone definition. The basswood body is lightweight, while the double cutaway offers easy access to the higher frets, for a comfortable playing experience.
