Don't be limited in your music. The Luna Vintage Tenor's mahogany neck is perfectly suited to all ukulele techniques and playing styles. Its supreme durability, resonance, and responsiveness means that whether you're picking, strumming, or using any other kind of finger technique, you'll always sound fantastic. The walnut fretboard that tops the neck also delivers excellent warmth and provides you with a smooth playing action. This makes fast-paced soloing simple, as you'll be able to glide up and down the fretboard with ease.
Big voice and full tone. This Luna Vintage Uke has a tenor-sized body shape, which has excellent projection. The overall sound is extremely rich and warm in comparison to ukuleles of smaller body sizes, making it perfect for live performance. Furthermore, the tenor size provides you with a longer scale and more frets, making it appealing to musicians looking to experiment more with notes they can't usually reach on smaller instruments. Never be limited in your creativity.
A body that gives you pure excellence in sound. The Vintage Tenor's body is crafted entirely from mahogany, delivering exquisite fullness in tone with unparalleled warmth. Mahogany as a tonewood offers a big ukulele voice thanks to its high density, also providing a strong balance between high notes and the low-end.
Mahogany is one of the most popular woods used in crafting acoustic instruments. It creates a supremely natural sound, always with extra rich character. The Luna Vintage Tenor gives you authentic ukulele sound that sings and resonates beautifully. The best ukulele sound you're ever likely to hear.
Yvonne Villiers is an accomplished stained-glass artist who envisioned Luna guitars. Her inspiration for a line of guitars designed to maximise playing comfort came from her mother, Hilda Villiers, a bassist for over 40 years. Whilst watching her mum on stage, Yvonne couldn't help but notice the massive struggle her mum had whilst playing. With her mum being petite and using such a heavy instrument, she used to complain of how hard it was to be a woman and try to play these big bass guitars.
Yvonne then questioned if there were others like her mum that struggled with the same problems and pains. She came up with the idea of a woman specific guitar, uniquely tailored to fit their bodies, their hands, and their musical styles. Yvonne moved on to create Luna guitars, an instrument line made for female musicians of all ages and crafted with luminous visual beauty to engage women's minds and spirits along with their talent.
Yvonne already had brilliant artistic skills and use of colour thanks to her award winning stained glass work. She then applied these techniques to her new line of instruments. She is known for using rich colours that shimmer and shine with every movement, providing an eye-catching design along with the great musical tones Luna guitars deliver.
Villiers' design expertise soon led to Luna expanding its product base to include a whole new range of stringed instruments, especially ukuleles. The science behind the crafting of top-calibre guitars worked perfectly in making ukuleles with magnificent sound. Not to mention that they looked stunning. Luna's quality has led to many men adopting their instruments as favourites. The company is now an industry leader, and creates instruments for both female and male musicians of all ages.
