The Vintage Reissued V6 is crafted from high-quality tonewoods, creating an incredibly comfortable instrument with versatile tones for players on a budget. Its body is crafted from solid American alder, delivering a strong, full-bodied sound with excellent clarity and plenty of depth. The addition of a maple neck and fingerboard enhances the Vintage Guitar’s bright character, producing extra sparkle in the high-end while the lows become thick and creamy. The combination of maple and alder infuses the overall tone with an excellent sustain, allowing notes to ring out and naturally decay, and plenty of dynamics to suit a wide variety of playing styles and musical genres.
Wilkinson's 60s Style Single-Coil Pickups
The Vintage V6’s attention to authentic tone continues with the addition of calibrated Wilkinson 60s style WVS single-coil pickups in the bridge, middle, and neck positions. Constructed with chamfered alnico V magnets and staggered polepieces, these pickups deliver incredibly clear and dynamic tones, with plenty of focus and definition across the entire frequency range. While its chamfered design enhances the pickup’s high-end, it still allows the mids to shine through to prevent the overall tone sounding too thin. The middle pickup also features a reverse wind reverse polarity setup to reduce noise and hum when used with the bridge or neck pickup. The electronics have also been configured for maximum tone, resulting in an even response and output for supreme versatility.
Wilkinson Hardware
The Vintage Reissue V6 features a Wilkinson WVC original specification vibrato bridge, with authentic bent steel saddles for that classic sparkle and tone. Precision machined pivot points provide a total return to pitch accuracy, and a stagger drilled sustain block to prevent string hang-ups. Wilkinson WJ55 tuners feature their E-Z-LOK string lock system, offering a quick and easy way to hugely enhanced the guitar’s tuning stability, while offering super quick string change times.
