Firmware 2.0 for Osmose introduces several significant upgrades, enhancing both its external MIDI capabilities and internal sound engine functionalities. The new External MIDI Mode now includes the MPE Arpeggiator and Pressure Glide, allowing for seamless integration with any software or hardware compatible with MIDI Polyphonic Expression (MPE).
Users can also save custom MIDI configuration presets, offering greater flexibility. The Sound Engine Mode has been completely revamped, enabling up to 2048 onboard presets, each customizable with sensitivity settings, arpeggiator, and pressure glide features. The update also introduces a favourites feature - a playlist system for better preset organisation, and a new navigation workflow to streamline the user experience.
Enhanced Program Change and MIDI Bank Select (CC0) support ensure compatibility with these features. Additionally, the new sound bank management system prepares for future expansions, while the Osmose now automatically loads the last sound preset used before shutdown.
