Product Ref: 176839
A simplistic yet essential module for creating staple sounds in modular synthesizers, the Ringr Passive Ring Modulator delivers metallic-like timbres ranging from percussive, hard hits to sweeping frequency shifts, tremolo effects and more. The Ringr gives you the ability to warp and manipulate your input sources, ideal for a variety of synth modules and external music instruments. Capable of accepting different signal sources, not just traditional wave types, the Ringr can accept audio signals as well to mangle and manipulate.
Featuring two inputs, the Ringr can provide an added level of harmonics to your sound if you only patch a signal into Input 1. The Ringr will rectify your signal, giving the sense of the frequencies doubling, adding extra harmonic distortion. When the second input is patched in, the classic ring modulation sound will occur, varying the frequency of your input source will modulate between the two input sources creating a wide sound full of character. Patching different waveshapes can produce a huge variety of different sounds and tones through the Ringr. When sent through a VCA with an envelope generator, you can even get sounds reminiscent of bells!
The Ringr is a streamlined module that is perfectly suited to compact and mobile Euroracks. Taking up a minuscule 4HP of rack space, this allows you to seamlessly integrate with your existing setup without the need to occupy lots of space. The passive design means that you do not need to power the device, ensuring that your power supplies can be used for your expressive and creative modules!
