Key Features
Image Line Sawer is an analog-modelled synthesizer plug-in, based on a rare 1980's Soviet synth. Delivering a punchy and articulate sound with meticulously designed filters and envelopes, the Sawer harnesses the exact tone, character and response as the hardware original. Building on what was possible with the original synthesizer, the oscillator stability has been improved for more accurate tuning to eliminate the often-occurring drift on the hardware synth. Further enhancements over the original come in the form of the rich sonic spectrum found in a happily accidental coding error. This delivered the same signature sound as the hardware but with a more pleasing noise on the attack and a widening and fattening of the bass frequencies to fill your sonic space.
Built much like other subtractive synthesizers, Sawer features a sawtooth oscillator with frequency sync capabilities. Paired with a powerful +/-2 octave sub-oscillator and noise generator oscillator, Sawer is ideal for laying the thunderous low foundation of your tracks with plenty of character and aggression. Eight unison voices with user-adjustable stereo panning, detune and 'octaver' is packed in with variable polyphony from 1-24 voices to provide you with more than enough playability. Tweaking your performance and sound is made simple with the inclusion of four filter modes ranging from 12 - 24dB/octave low-pass, band-pass and high-pass along with the built-in chorus, phaser and analog-modelled delay and reverb.
