The KaoX is a vintage-inspired FM synthesizer, featuring eight operators, analog-inspired oscillators filters and envelopes as well as chaotic algorithms and four world-class studio effects. Harking back to the prime equipment of yesteryear, the KaoX builds on the staples of the past and takes FM synthesis to a whole new level. Designed around two layers of architecture, the eight operators feature a slew of different parameters to create a unique sound that will help you stamp out your sonic signatures, such as an LFO, envelope, jog wheel and aftertouch, user-definable modulators, keyboard follower, ratio or absolute frequency and a low-pass filter.
Not only are you provided with FM synthesis, you also have access to analog synthesis parameters such as oscillators, zero-delay filters, noise generator, four ADSR envelopes and four VCA outputs per layer to customise your sound even further. All of this culminates to an incredibly versatile and dynamic sound that is full of detail and articulation with a healthy dose of warmth and depth, helping to give your music excitement and vibrancy.
Neatly wrapped together in an intuitive interface, you can quickly get to work with the included 500+ presets or build your own from scratch and save in the convenient preset browser folder and create custom tags to quickly recall your favourite tones from any session.

Taking inspiration from a legendary staple of FM synthesizers, the KaoX delivers the vintage character and flavour whilst carving out its own path in the synthesizer world to bring a huge array of tonal variation and chaotic accidentals to your productions. Taking FM synthesis to a new level, the core of KaoX is the two layers of architecture, each containing eight operators, two outputs and two banks of independent pitch and four studio effects. Each bank of operators can be played in the single, double or split mode for a huge range of possibilities in sound design.
Going further than what was ever possible in the past, KaoX looks to the future. Featuring an FM matrix in which you can set the operators individually and design custom algorithms lets you explore uncharted territories and stamp out your unique sonic signature. There are a plethora of different parameters you can use when adjusting each operator, such as an LFO, envelope, low-pass filter and more, each can be combined together to create new and exciting sounds that will help your music stand out from the crowd.
Each layer is joined by two analog-style oscillators and two chaotic oscillators, capable of generating unique and organic textures to glue your sound together or send it spiralling into wild and manic frenzies. A true must-have for modern sound designers, KaoX delivers the power and warmth of analog synthesis, with the crisp and articulate timbres of FM synthesis as well as the uncertainty and unpredictability of chaotic modulation.
Designed from the ground up, the user interface within KaoX is extremely legible and logical. Stripping back any menu diving or convoluted and difficult to read sup-interfaces, the KaoX will let you get to your tones quicker than ever before. Contextual help guides are there to give you the information you need to make decisions based on certain parameters within your FM synthesizer and an easy to understand audio path illuminates the modules in use when in Global View mode. Although driving innovation, it's important to appreciate where we came from, as is evident in the tasteful wooden front panel, where you can access a number of the controls to add character and flavour to your sound.
