The Tech 21 QST1 Q\Strip Dual Parametric EQ/DI & Channel Strip is a compact, single channel studio EQ in a portable DI box. Equipped with an 100 percent analog MOSFET circuitry, players can achieve a variety of warm, powerful tones. There are two bands of parametric EQ available, sweeping from 40 Hz to 700 Hz, or 300 Hz to 6Hz. The QST1 can also double as a clean amp simulator for a versatile performance in the studio or during live performances. With its durable metal chassis, the QST1 offers a studio-quality unit that's perfect for any level of player.

A Versatile Unit

Inspired by the EQ and preamp sections of 60s and 70s recording units, the Q\Strip is packed full of sophisticated features that allow players to shape their tone at any event. Its compact, low-profile design is equipped with a DI format, along with XLR and jack outputs. Featuring 100 percent analog MOSFET circuitry, the Q\Strip offers warmth, girth and larger-than-life tones for any type of application.

  • HPF cuts unmusical rumble associated with many instruments when going direct.
  • LPF rolls off undesirable frequencies. Can also be used as a speaker simulator. When used in conjunction with the studio-grade EQ section, you can recreate different speaker cabinet curves so you can go direct with your favorite distortion and effects pedals
  • Very high impedance accommodates piezos and handles low impedance sources equally well
  • XLR is capable to drive power amps and has a -20dB pad to accommodate mic level inputs on mixers and pre-amps.
  • 1/4-inch output has switchable +10dB boost on tap, which is useful to drive power amps or push tube amps into overdrive.
  • Three modes of operation: Phantom power via the XLR Output, 2. Standard 9V alkaline battery (not included), 3. Optional power supply (Tech 21 Model #DC4)
